2017 Mazda CX-5 Review

The 2017 Mazda CX-5 is a crossover SUV by the Mazda, automobile manufacturer. This model is set to dominate the small SUV market and from its inception, the current model of the CX-5 still maintains the car number one and one of the most purchased car in the small SUV segment simply because of the family friendly features. Three trim levels will be available and are namely; the sport, touring and the grand touring.

2017 Mazda CX-5 – Body Styles Changes and Other Options

From the exterior view, the 2017 Mazda CX-5 has received a newly redesigned grille that provides a larger space just on the front side. The car is expected to have a much bolder, detailed and trimmed LED headlight for enhancing the driver vision, especially during the night. The most notable key feature that is likely to attract a diverse number of customers is the availability of the innovative style known as the KODO- Soul of Motion, an essential feature among the Mazda automobiles. The exterior colors that the 2017 Mazda CX-5 will be available in are; Sonic Silver Metallic, Jet Black Mica, and the Meteor gray mica. The dimensions of the car are as follows, 72.4-inch in width, 179.3-inch in the total length and a height of 67.3-inch. The ground clearance and the wheelbase provided are 8.5inches and 106.3inches respectively.

From the inside of the 2017 Mazda CX-5, the car features a two-row seat and can adequately accommodate five occupants. The seats are wrapped while the rear seats are collapsible. The bucket shaped front seats have an adjustable driver seat while the rear seats have ventilation ducts. For convenience and comfort, electric power steering, front and rear cup holder, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, overhead console with storage and audio and cruise control mounted on the steering wheel, interior air filtration, and air conditioning features are available. The latest technology that has been installed includes; smart phone and Bluetooth connectivity, a 7-inch touchscreen display that is integrated into the command control system. This new model comes with a noise insulation system that the current model lacks. For safety, there is an i-Active Sense package that encompasses the adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic headlight control, Smart Brake Support, seatbelts and airbags both side and front airbags.

2017 Mazda CX-5 – Powerful Engine and Performance

The 2017 Mazda CX-5 will have a 2.0 L inline-4 engine that is expected to generate a maximum output power of 155 hp and at the same time produce a torque of 150 lb-ft. Another engine option will also be available and will be a 2.5 L inline-4 engine that will be capable of producing a maximum power of 184 hp and produce a torque of 185 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and there as some rumors that there shall be a front wheel configuration only. The fuel efficiency of the car is expected to be 26 mpg while in the city and 33 mpg while on the express highway.

2017 Mazda CX-5 – Price and Expected Release Date

The price of the car ranges between $23,000 and $30,000 depending on the trim level, and it is expected that the car shall be made available to the automobile market during the last quarter of the year 2016.
