2017 Acura MDX Refresh, Release Date

Acura MDX was first launched in 2000 as a mid-size crossover from the luxury division of Honda’s Acura. This car model has since witnessed various phases of improvement and has gained popularity at a particularly fast rate. Body of the 2017 Acura MDX will be made of aluminum, high performance carbon and steel fibers thus giving it a slightly lesser weight than the previous model. The car will have a new and wider bumper and two large air intakes. The front will have a chrome grill design with the logo of automaker right at the grille’s center. Grille will have new fog lights and LED lights flanking it. Rain sensing windscreen wipers will highlight the front while the rear of the car will feature a redesigned exhaust and a new bumper. The car will move on 19 inch wheels made of alloy. The wheels will have their suspension upgraded and the body of the car tweaked for more aerodynamics.

Interiorly, the 2017 Acura MDX will have the black cabin with very comfortable seats spread over three rows to accommodate up to seven adult passengers. Seats will be made of high quality leather. Drives seat will be power adjustable and will also be heated. The car will have a much larger touchscreen and a high quality audio system. Technologically, the car will have air conditioning, navigation system and a steering wheel with telescoping ability. Bluetooth, USB ports and integration to smartphones will also be featured.

Car will have parking sensors, enhanced airbags and a traction control. Moreover, the user will have an option to include more safety options.

2017 Acura MDX – Engine Specs and Fuel Economy

The 2017 Acura MDX will have a 3.5 L V6 engine. This engine will be able to produce a horse power of 290 and a torque of 267 lb-ft. The engine will have manual transmission system with 6 speeds sending power to all the four wheels.

FWD model of the car will use fuel at rate of 28 mpg on highway, 20 mpg in city roads and 23 mpg on combined drives. AWD models will use fuel at rate of 27 mpg on highway, 18 mpg in the city and 21 mpg during combined drive.
