Per unofficial reports, the four-cylinder engine of the previous X2 is said to be joined by a three-cylinder engine. The diesel options are said to be that of a 1.5-liter unit with 136 hp as well as a 2.0-liter unit. The maximum output of the 2.0 L unit is estimated to be that of 192 horsepower and 231 horsepower. The traditional gasoline unit options will include a four cylinder 2.0-liter unit and a turbo four 2.0-liter unit. The units will be mated with the company’s eight paced Steptronic mechanical gearbox and coupled with either all-wheel drive or front wheel drive. In the United States will be offered 2.0-liter engine with 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.
