2017 Lexus TX Release Date and Price

The 2017 Lexus TX is thought of as an answer or solution for people who have had a lot of gripes about Lexus’ RX model. However, the Lexus TX should be looked at on its own, as a unique model not as a redesigned model of some other car. If we are to look at it as a “fix” to the RX, then we have to look at the things that are the wrong eth the Lexus RX. For starters, The RX has space and the looks it lacks the power. With the space that the RX already has in its cabin, SUV enthusiasts figure that it should have had an extra row of seat – the extra room is regarded as empty space. Going by those issues, it would seem the 2017 Lexus TX was designed to address that shortcoming and maybe add extra features that have not been seen in a Lexus SUV.

2017 Lexus TX – Interior and Exterior Design

The design of the TX model was guided by the shortcomings of the Lexus RX. Lexus could have just come up with a redesigned RX model but decided to launch the new Lexus TX which means the TX should be looked at and judged on its own merits. The TX will get the third row that the Lexus RX does not have but it will also undergo other design innovations setting it apart from the Lexus TX.

The Lexus TX 2017 is built on the same platform as the Toyota Highlander and Camry, which makes it longer. Which accommodates the addition of that extra row. By definition, this car could have been called a station wagon but by today’s standard and definition the term “station wagon” is defunct and as far as Lexus is concerned, the definition of station wagon does not meet the Lexus brand.

The car comes with external features like LED headlights, improved front and rear bumpers and a slimmer grill. The body sits regally atop 20-inch alloy wheels. Design wise the 2017 Lexus TX is not only meant to compensate for the Lexus RX but to compete with the likes of the Infiniti QX60 and the Audi Q7.

Luxury has always been synonymous with the Lexus brand, which is why rich leather and burnished wood are expected in the interior design. The 2018 Lexus TX will have the usual technological gadgets and knobs, a state of the air infotainment system with the prerequisite multi-functional touchscreen. Other technological features will include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and smartphone connectivity, Drivers can expect safety features like a blind spot monitor, lane departure warning, parking assistance, rearview mirror and more.
