The Urus was initially unveiled in 2012 as a production model and is expected to be released fully in 2018. Lamborghini claims that the new model will remain true to the first concept of the 2012 Lamborghini Urus.
2017 Lamborghini Urus – Immaculate Design
Lamborghini took a different path in the exterior styling of this 2017 model. Instead of the standard sharp edges like in its other brands, Lamborghini went with rounded edges. In the front, the fascia displays large air intakes. The headlights are Y-shaped and look like those on the Huracan and Aventador.
The exterior concept of this new 2017 Lamborghini Urus seems smaller than it really is, owing to its smooth, flat-planed stripes, gigantic 24-inch alloy wheels, and a unique Lamborghini family fascia. The forward-pointing arrow of the new Urus is the main thing that screams “Lamborghini.” Most of the external design of the 2017 Lamborghini Urus SUV is taken from the Aventador, but this is on a grander level. The Urus headlamps are slightly smaller than the Aventador, and they still generate that “Y” form that all buyers know and love. The headlamps are also designed with LED technology. The vehicle comes fitted out with big air intake cutouts on its front bumper, and it closely looks like the Aventador intake cutouts. Viewed from the side, the roof slides towards the rear progressively. At the rear, the manufacturer installed stylish taillights and a good sizeable bumper along with an exhaust system with four exhaust tips.The rear fenders are a lot larger than the front fenders and on the road, the 2017 Lamborghini Urus SUV rides on a 24-inch five spoke matte aluminum wheel.
As buyers would expect from Lamborghini, the interior of the Urus will be elegant, spacious, and very comfortable. It can accommodate four adult passengers and a driver. The design has been made with polymer and carbon fiber. Every part of the interior is designed with precision, and this is the advantage of Lamborghini as a sports car designer.The steering wheel houses the headlights switch functionality, and it also holds the controls for the wipers. Other functions in the vehicle are controlled by a touch-screen which is situated at the center of the dashboard.
2017 Lamborghini Urus – Engine and Performance
Lamborghini is well-known mainly because of one reason: its engine. Its standard of high output power-trains is continued in the 2017 Lamborghini SUV. The vehicle will be designed up with a 4.0-liter twin-boosted V8 engine. This engine is expected to generate a whopping 600 hp and 700 lb-feet of torque or even more. It is anticipated that the V8 diesel and hybrid engine could be installed in future models of the SUV.
