For years, Daihatsu, a Japanese car maker, has always managed to put up a very spirited fight and established its reputation when it comes to making high profile cars. Seen as an effort by the company to battle with other key players across the industry, they are now working on a new Daihatsu Terios 2017. The car first came into the limelight in 1997, and is said the company is planning to take a different route with the car come next year; the model is going to be made into a mini SUV.

Daihatsu Terios 2017 – Exterior and Interior Design

From the way the outside design has been presented, it is safe to say this car is going to turn head wherever you go. It will now come with a diminutive grille and the headlights are the almond shape with a good number of similarities to that of the 2015 model. The LED headlights have also been redesigned; they are enforced in order with foggy conditions. Moreover, both the front and rear overhangs are going to be slightly shorter and the car will be wider and much longer than that previous model. An aspect of chrome will also be seen on the side mirrors and door handles, and a spare tire is going to be attached from the outside of the boot.

When it comes to the interior, Daihatsu Terios 2017 there is no way the company is going to leave things the way they are; the interior of the last model is going to be taken out and a much better and comfortable inside brought in. Starting with the dashboard; it will be upgraded and heat control and radio fitted. The power steering wheel is also going to be the key highlights. The seats will also receive a lot of attention; they will come fully fitted with high-quality fabric to promote comfort. Other extra features we are going to see throughout the inside include remote central locking, audio system and a number of controls mounted on the steering. When it comes to exterior colors, the car is going to be offered in six different colors.

When it comes to the powertrain, unlike its predecessor that was only offered in one engine variant, the upcoming model will be giving customers two engine options. First is a 1.3-liter engine with a power output of 103 hp and the second engine will be a 1.5-liter capacity engine. When it come to speed, this car can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in about 13 seconds and the all-wheel drive will be able to do the same in about 14 seconds. The engine will be mated to either a 5-speed or 6-speed automatic transmission system. The engines will be gasoline powered, but a diesel engine is also going to be offered, as well.

Daihatsu Terios 2017 – Release Date and Price

Even as with wait for the company to give us official information, it is rumored that the new Daihatsu Terios 2017 will be released towards the end of 2017, and we could see price range of between $17,000 and $21,000. If that will change, we don’t know that for sure. Only time will tell.
