In other news, while this is not yet confirmed, it is said that a Borgward BX7 hybrid will be made available later on. This version will combine the same 2.0-liter turbo engine and a 13.2 kWh lithium-ion battery and together should deliver around 296 hp and an all-electric range of 34 miles.

No much informant about the release date and price has been made public, but given that this upcoming Borgward BX7 SUV is a bit slow and less powerful than those high-end premium crossovers, the car should be significantly more affordable. A price tag of around $36,000 is very likely. When it comes to a release date, Europe may have to wait until 2017.
