The Mitsubishi Pajero 2017 will be powered by an all-new 2.4 litres MIVEC diesel engine. The engine is available in 2 versions. The entry-level engine option boasts of 151 hp and 280 lb ft of torque whereas the high output version will generate 178 hp and 317 lb ft of torque.
The engine has been fitted with Go idling stop and MMC’s Auto stop system. It also complies with the stern European environmental regulations. Its carbon (IV) oxide emission is just 169 g/mile giving this SUV the best environmental performances in its class. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The 2017 Mitsubishi Pajero’s engine uses the variable geometry turbocharger. This allows the turbine effective aspect ratio to be altered with changes in condition in order to generate a great torque from low-end engine speeds.
