Welcome our new Kia model, the 2017 Kia Sportage is coming to town. It is set to be out early this year and price had not been made yet. But during my research I have seen ranges from 22,000-25,000 for this vehicle. This compact 5 passenger front drive/all wheel drive crossover SUV is making its way to our Kia family. It looks like some features of each Kia made all in one car. This new Sportage will come in three different models the SX, EX, and LX. This new Sportage has a stylish new body, a stronger body and redesigned suspension, for better performance. It somewhat looks like the Kia Sorento SUV.
2017 Kia Sportage – Exterior and Interior Design
Inside the cab of this Kia it is more horizontal in the dash. The upper half has attention on the gauges and color touch screen while the lower half has heated seats and power equipped in the front to help control the audio, climate and ancillary controls. There is also more soft touch trim compared to the previous Kia’s. It has 30.7 cubic feet of cargo space with more leg, head, and knee room. It has a lane departure warning system and automatic breaking. Sportage is also equipped with blind spot monitors and rearview camera for safer driving.
It will be equipped with a color touchscreen for audio and blue tooth streaming. It will have an awesome satellite radio with 160 watts of sound in the speakers. Comes with thicker sound proofing for a quieter ride. Also equipped with a keyless entry push start for your convenience. This new 2017 kia will be a 6-speed automatic system. It is said that it will be better tuned for fuel economy.
2017 Kia Sportage – Engine Specs
The longer but taller kia model has 1.2 more inches of wheel base, 19 inch wheels, LED fog lamps, and lower air intakes. The 2017 Kia Sportage will have a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine with 182 horsepower.
This Kia will have more metallic trim and a distinct bumper for better ground clearance. A remounted steering rack with lower friction which is said to smooth out the steering inputs and reactions. The front suspension will have damper room and will be multi-link rear suspension with dual lower arms. The Kia’s high strength steel body is a new improvement for safety on the road. Kia is aiming for this 2017 Kia Sportage to be a top safety pick for the year.
This new 2017 Kia Sportage is read to hit the market soon but has to go through some safety tests. This New Kia Sportage is said to be one of the best looking new cars so far on the market this year. Kia offers a choice between two 4 cylinder engines. The LX and EX have the 2.4 liter with 182 horsepower and 177 pound of torque. The Sportage SX has a 2.0-liter turbo four with 260 horsepower and 269 pound of torque. Both the engine choices are made for better fuel economy and mid-range performance.

I see great things with this new 2017 Kia Sportage, now we all need to do is look for this awesome new car coming to a car lot near you. The price for the base model will be around $22,000 – $25,000.
